I Am

This spiritual documentary is about Tom Shadyac, a successful filmmaker who had it all – money, fame and fortune. But due to several accidents and one head-on collision that left him with brain damage he was forced to re-evaluate his life.

A filmmaker, writer and producer, Tom Shadyac has brought to the world many famous films, such as “Ace Ventura,” “The Nutty Professor” and “Bruce Almighty.” He had it all from money to fame. However, his life changed drastically when he got into a series of accidents and acquired brain damage.

These unfortunate events were so profound that Shadyac was forced to re-evaluate his life and come up with a different perspective and meaning of life and existence. This is where the spiritual part comes in: Instead of focusing on material possessions, he tried to find happiness by changing his perspective of the world, by seeing life from different angles, and by finding a deeper meaning to existence. In other words, he tried to see the world from a spiritual viewpoint, which is what you will learn from this show.

The show discusses Shadyac’s newfound philosophy of life and how it affected him on both, a personal level as well as on a professional level. The show also discusses the problems with the current way of living in America, which is characterized by consumerism and spending most of one’s time chasing after money instead of actually enjoying life. This point is especially emphasized throughout this spiritual documentary.

The Secret

“The Secret” originates from Rhonda Byrne’s famous book with the same title. It offers insight into how our thoughts shape our lives and explores many spiritual concepts such as abundance, spirituality, visualization techniques, and mindfulness meditation.

The show starts from pre-historic time to present about Law of Attraction or LOA which is the concept that “like attracts like.” This law says that thoughts or feelings can produce vibrations that become things. The Law of Attraction has been used in many other topics such as relationships, wealth, and health.

The documentary shows people who have visualized becoming what they want and manifested it into reality through LOA. Many of them become who they wanted to be, some of them got what they wanted and some people achieved their goals. What is important is that all of them realized the power within themselves by using LOA, whether it was getting better grades or more money after visualizing for just 10 minutes every day.

The movie also shows many documentaries about scientific research that suggest that our thoughts can affect the chemical reactions within the body. The chemical reactions are what is responsible for maintaining the cells of our body, thus having an effect on how we look, feel and perform.

Brene Brown: The Call to Courage

We all want to live a meaningful life, but sometimes it can be challenging to find your courage. Brene Brown is back with an inspiring talk on how to find courage in everyday moments.

An author and also a research professor at the University of Houston, Brene Brown has dedicated much of her life to studying courage, authenticity, vulnerability, and shame.

In this documentary, she shares what she’s learned about vulnerability. One of the biggest takeaways is that showing your authentic self is paramount to living a meaningful life. But not everyone has an easy time being vulnerable.

Surviving Death

“Surviving Death” is a docu-series about spiritual healing, belief in life after death, and psychic mediums. It explores the science behind death and the truths behind past life experiences.

The show starts by introducing three patient-mediums from different parts of the world, Dr. John Edward from the USA, Allison DuBois from Texas, and Lisa Williams from the UK. You’ll witness the mediums giving readings to the patients’ relatives, describing their ailments with uncanny knowledge, and describing how they died.

The documentary also tries to make the case that our non-physical selves do not dissolve after death. Instead, they stay intact in what many people describe as a spiritual realm. This is basically the same idea behind spirit channeling or mediumship.
